if you're going to san francisco (be sure to wear some flowers in your hair)

Longest title ever.... but honestly, it's such a jam! Yesterday Robin and I did our thrift pentagon circuit... topped off with a hot 'n' ready cheese grease wheel from Little Caesar's Pizza. An exceptional afternoon if you ask me.

In our travels I purchased a few tasty items but nothing as exciting as the old lady flowers that I later turned into my precious floral crown. After a 30 degree (Celsius) day... the sky quickly changed from blue with little fluffy clouds to a foreboding grey... so I took the nasty weather as a sign that I should do some serious crafting.

This gal is wearing - vintage crepe silk cream shirt, rodarte for target jean short, crappy winners shoes, vintage tooled leather purse, ray bans, my crystal necklace (find of the week), and my LOVELY floral crown made with a buttload of TLC.

Did I mention that I'm growing out my hair? It's getting to a pivotal stage and I'm not sure what to do with it now. Anyone else made the transition from white-blonde minx to au natural dirty blonde - or whatever your hair grows out after over a decade of dying it? Advice? It's killing me softly.

the video of this also kills me softly. wish my life was in super 8! (not the motel that is)

1000

If you've watched the video I posted previously (WHICH YOU SHOULD HAVE) you'll know that I have a lovely little automobile. Robin and I made a day party for my car hitting 1000 miles. It was as epic as the photos suggest. Somehow I didn't get any real shots of Robin, but just of her hand, mental note to change that in the future.

First 2 photos are compliments of Robin - I was wearing the sweet Liberty of London for Target peacock dress. And Lamb Chop is back in action looking drunk as usual.

No song that I can think about that is called "1000" so I'll just put a link to our mtv casting call page... as today is the last day it counts to view it!

Thanks dolls!

sweet jane

I believe it's becoming fairly obvious where my style is headed to. I'm pretty sure you can smell the patchouli when browsing this blog. I would say TGIF, but at the moment everyday is the weekend to this gal.

(thrifted - shorts, crochet detail shirt, suede vest, leather purse, shoes. flower crown - half done made by moi. bojangles - sears & patricia fields)

I've been obsessed with 60s music and fashion since foreverrrrr. Anyway, now that its the 50th anniversary there seems to be more and more amazing books coming out. Just picked this one up today and I am very exciting to sit down and really delve in! Maybe I'll just move to Laurel Canyon.

wear your love like heaven

Just another June day, a bit overcast, threw on my little weasel necklace. Still trying to sort out what I should be doing now post-graduation (technically I graduate tomorrow). ANYWAY..... I've been listening to a lot of Donovan lately. Making flower crowns and pretending its the sixties. I could get quite comfortable with all of this leisure time.

(thrifted - weasel necklace, shorts, and western belt. sunglasses - raybans. shirt - target. boots - michael kors.)

lust for life

Today I signed away all ties to Toronto whilst wearing this sweet dress which just HAPPENS to be my mum's from 1970. She said she was too tall to wear it as a dress and instead rocked horizontally striped pants with it. I cannot even visualize that.

bro bro and sissy spending some quality time together.

Even though its been raining, I have been feeling very summer-y listening to tunes that are endlessly summer. "wish I had a pizza and a bottle of wine" on a cleanse and all I can think about is cookies and dairy products.

london calling

While driving back through the states I, as usual, coerced my dad into stopping at every Target in sight. I was pleasantly surprised when I found Liberty of London clothing there! How did I miss the memo on this one?

Being abroad this time last year, everyday after interning I would cruise over to Carnaby Street to go drool over the vividly coloured patterned scarves at Liberty's. Being on a strict student budget did not allow for any purchases.... UNTIL NOW! Not only were archived patterns available at Target, THEY WERE ON SALE! What timing! Here are a few pieces I picked up:

As if those weren't enough of a steal, I found an original Liberty of London scarf thrifting last week:

just like honey

Last semester my pals and I had the pleasure of working with Mark Peckmezian, a Toronto photographer. It was a school project (as per usual) however, it turned out quite handsome.  The photos he takes just blow my mind, all of which are developed in the studio he lives in. AMAZING. Check out more of his work here. You won't regret it.

Here are some shots from the shoot:
